Collection notice
This notice explains how we handle the personal information you give us in this form, as required by Australian Privacy Principle 5 under the Privacy Act 1988. It covers who collects your details, why, who receives them and how to contact us. Please read it before you send your request.
Who is collecting your information. Painters Hobart. You can contact us at [email protected]. Our privacy policy sets out our full business details.
What we collect and how. We collect the details you enter in this form: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the type of painting work and any description you give. We also record the date and time you sent the request, the page you sent it from and the fact that you gave consent. We collect this directly from you through this form.
Why we collect it. We collect your information to pass your painting request to a local painting business so that it can contact you to discuss the job and arrange a quote, and to follow up with you about that request. We do not use it for marketing unless you tick the separate tips box, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Is it required by law? No law requires us to collect this information.
What happens if you don't provide it. If you do not give us your contact details, suburb and the type of work, we cannot pass your request to a painter and a painter cannot contact you about it.
Who we disclose it to. We usually disclose the information in this form to one local painting business that works in your area, so it can contact you about your request. We may be paid by that business for the referral. We also use service providers that host this website and send email on our behalf. We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless the law requires or permits it.
Overseas disclosure. The website, including the requests you send through it, is hosted on servers in the United States (DigitalOcean) and delivered through Cloudflare's global network. Email is sent through Brevo, which stores data in the European Union.
Access, correction and complaints. Our privacy policy explains how you can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, how to make a privacy complaint and how we will deal with it.
