Who we are
Painters Hobart is an independent quote service for greater Hobart. We are not a painting business. We do not employ painters, carry out painting work or supervise jobs. We pass enquiries from people who need painting done to a local Hobart painting business.
Questions about the service: [email protected].
What we do
We run this website, publish plain-English guides about painting in Hobart and pass each quote request to a local painting business, which contacts you within one business day. The guides draw on published sources such as the Bureau of Meteorology, Heritage Tasmania and Australian Government safety guidance, and we cite and date every price we mention.
When a request comes in, we check it is complete and send it to a painter who works in your area. After that, you and the painter deal with each other directly.
What we don't do
We do not quote, set prices, do the work, take payments or promise any outcome. We do not check or vouch for a painter's licence, insurance or workmanship, so please make your own checks before accepting a quote. Any contract is between you and the painting business you choose to hire.
That is why our guides encourage you to:
- ask for a written, itemised quote
- ask the painter for their licence and insurance details
- check any licence on the CBOS register
- compare more than one quote for larger jobs
How the site is funded
Using this site is free. Painting businesses may pay us for referrals or advertising, which is how we cover our costs. The painter sets their own prices and you are never obliged to accept a quote. We do not publish reviews or testimonials, and our images are illustrations, not photos of completed jobs.
Your privacy
We collect only what a painter needs to contact you about your job. We use it to pass your request to a local painting business and to follow up on that request, and we only email you tips if you tick the box (unsubscribe at any time). Read our privacy policy and our terms for the full detail.
